Bone and tissue grafts. Helping mother nature.
It sounds amazing and it is—or was. Now the ability to regenerate bone or gum tissue lost to periodontal disease is becoming standard procedure. We happen to use the most state-of-the-art techniques, replacing what’s been lost with natural or synthetic bone.
Sometimes we use growth factors that can help the body regrow bone. Guided-tissue regeneration is another technique used with bone grafting. We insert a small piece of mesh-like material between bone and gum to prevent gum tissue (which grows more quickly than bone) from filling in the area where bone should be, allowing bone to grow where we want it.
Don’t let a loss of bone discourage your from getting the right care. There are many options for combating the damage done by periodontal disease. To learn more, please call Dr. Sayed at 248.901.0000 or click here now.
