Muhammad H Saleh BDS, MSD, MS
We are proud to welcome Dr. Muhammad H Saleh to our team as a highly experienced dentist with extensive training. Dr. Saleh is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dentistry at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine, University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He graduated from the faculty of Dentistry, at the University of Cairo, Egypt. After finishing his Dento-alveolar surgery residency, he worked in private practice for eight years before completing an implant diploma from DGZI, Germany.
Dr. Saleh then received post-doctoral training at the Periodontics Department at the University of Michigan. He completed his Periodontics residency at the University of Louisville, KY, USA. He is currently a full-time faculty at the Periodontics department, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
Dr. Saleh has also been actively involved in research, publishing more than 68 periodontics and implant-related peer-reviewed articles. He serves as a reviewer for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, the international journal of oral Implantology, and an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology, and Periodontology 2000.He is a winner of multiple national and international awards, most recently the 2021 AAPF Schoor Award for the best periodontics research project for the year 2021, the best clinical research in the Ramfjord 2022 Symposium, and the 2022 AAP Institute for teaching and leadership award. Dr. Saleh’s research interest is primarily focused on risk factors of periodontitis and peri-implantitis; and guided bone regeneration. His clinical interest is mainly guided tissue regeneration and guided bone regeneration.
